Missions Updates
Missions is our response to God who first loved us and to Jesus’ commandment to make disciples of all men. Doors have opened to us in Indonesia, Myanmar and Mongolia.

Missions in Nias started in 1997 with 17 children in a local orphanage. Over the years, the orphanage grew to about 100 children.
It shifted to a new building in 2003. After the 2004 Indian Ocean Earthquake -Tsunami and the 2005 Sumatra Earthquake, Tomorrow’s
Hope became involved with medical drives, food and housing aid distribution to the local population in the villages.
Currently, it is involved in a new building project which includes a school, an extended learning centre, and an orphanage all of which
will be completed before end of 2007.

Myanmar Missions
From 1998-2003, teams of 6 to 20 have been streaming to Myanmar to conduct Worship and Word workshops for youth which culminate in year-end celebrations and concerts of prayer. Through the years of selecting and mentoring local leaders, key locals now fan out to gateway cities to pattern the workshops and bring renewal among the youth.
In 2004 onwards, there was a shift toward children ministry and education. Since 2005, medical missions has been added as the bridge and blessing between the local church and the needy. Besides 30 persons going from within the church, more than 40 from other churches have joined in with their skills and valuable contribution. Countless others have engaged in preparing training material and equipment for the teams. The whole process of praying, going, giving and sending has enriched the church life as well as brought a bonding to another people whom God loves. Presently we do medical trips as bridging events in Yangon and in Kalaw, Shan State.
Mongolia
LCOR reached out to Mongolia through LCS in partnership with Bayarin Meede Church, Mongolia, in 2005, to serve those in greater need. These include providing medical and dental screening, empowering and reaching out to the locals with computer skills, basic English language and other relevant know and skills to both church members and its neighbours. Our pastoral staff also help supplement theological and evangelical training to local Mongolian pastoral staff to better reach out to the rural communities. By the grace of God, the local Mongolians will be better able to feed their families and also continue to be fed with the living word of God.
